In Europe and America, skirts are worn by females of all ages as an alternative to Trousers, jeans. Outside the U.S., however, higher-status professional women like judges, cabinet ministers, physicians, corporate executives etc. generally avoid wearing trousers in public because skirts always keep comfortable and looking feminine too. working women always select A skirt in matching & any color combination with a blazer, Shirt & suit that only choice of formal office wear , that’s a Corporate & Organized fashion.

Quite a detailed article for the fashion buffs here. We would all know the kind of skirts that exist now. On a lighter note, It speaks of Indian Designer Rohit Ball who has introduced Skirts for but i guess the only one he would find interested in wearing them is he himself. Would really suite him for his sissy mannerisms.

Well Rohit Bal has a knack of doing things that are highly conventional, some years back it was he who made men put vermillion on their head like married India women do and now he is back with skirts, never say never atul esp in the world of fashion you never sooner than you know men might just start wearing skirts!

Ha ha! I’ve mentioned the name of the probable who would love doing it all by himself. Somya being a man is a matter of birth but being a male is a matter of choice and Ball is a man only by birth. Indeed, he would look very pretty if he adorns a Saree given his present hair-do.

That was harsh Atul. I never knew you would comment like that. Rohit is an exceptional fashion designer. He has actually carved the Indian fashion industry. Give him some accolades justly. His gender isn’t much important I must say. And to go with the article, I love skirts. They fill up my wardrobe.

Hello Mr. Atul.....as you know about ”LUNGI” & ”DHOTI” that traditional clothes, has being acceptable by man only from long time in India.......just u think if designer attached waist band or elastic with ”LUNGI” & ”DHOTI”, that shape look like a long skirt and Designer called it as a ”Man Skirt”... so would like to say it’ll be acceptable by coming generation with fashion. So few years ago Rohit Bal introduced ”Man Skirt”. as a coming fashion.

Thanks!!!
I think You better understand designers’ thought.

and...hehehehehehehehe that man-skirt stuff with a band on the lungi and dhoti is sending me into fits of laughter. The dhoti skirt will look like a butterfly shaped devided skirt... and of course when women are wearing men’s wear why can’t a man wear women’s wear?
